ELED/SEED 733: Research-Based Methods in Curriculum & Instruction This course will explore current research and methodologies in curriculum, instruction, and assessment in teaching and learning. Emphasis will be placed on using research-based methods and engaging students in meaningful learning.
SEED 791: Seminar in Social Studies Edcuation Includes directed study, problems, readings, directed readings, special problems and special projects. Students complete individualized plans of study which include significant one-on-one student-teacher involvement.

EDFN 338: Foundations of American Education Foundations of American Education is a survey of the history, organization, and philosophy of American education with emphasis on preparation for a teaching career. This course is a required orientation course for all prospective teachers and should be taken during the sophomore year.

Tianjin Normal University, College of International Exchange and Education, Tianjin, China (Summer 2008) Invited to teach Chinese culture to 30 Pakistani doctoral students in the summer of 2008 (instruction language was English). I designed my own curriculum relevant and of interest to students. This opportunity empowered me to work in the cultural studies area and helped me build a direct connection with some Pakistani people.
Tianjin Normal University, College of Foreign Language Studies, Tianjin, China (September 2007 -- February 2008) Taught non-English major college students from September of 2007 to February of 2008. This teaching opportunity was considered my internship when I was at my final year working on my master’s degree. I was the sole instructor of the course and I designed my own curriculum.
