Dr. Jing Williams is Professor of Social Studies Education at the University of South Dakota and Visiting Professor (2024) at the Seoul National University of Education. She teaches elementary and secondary social studies methods courses. She was the President (2018-2020) of the International Assembly of the National Council for the Social Studies. Dr. Williams' research focuses on a global perspective in social studies education and teaching difficult histories. She is the lead author of Teaching with a global Perspective: Approaches and strategies for secondary social studies teachers (2024) and Teaching conflict-related sexual violence through human rights education: The case of Japanese military's "comfort women" (2025).
