In spring 2021, eight students in SEED 491: 7-12 Social Science Methods class participated in the "Through Their Eyes: War & Peace" oral history contest. Each student interviewed a veteran who were deployed overseas and wrote a biography about that veteran. This project is a collaboration with the Veterans of Foreign Wars [VFW] Post 3061 and the South Dakota Oral History Center. The VFW Post 3061 fully sponsored this contest and provided cash awards to the Top 3 winners.
Due to COVID-19, the class was online, so each student recorded their presentation via Zoom to share their research findings. After obtaining permission from six students, I share their presentations below.
